Google Workspace Data & Security

The Clinical Trial Data Lookup Plugin Google Sheets™ add-on accesses Google user data in order to provide its core functionality. We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your data.

Data Protection and Security Mechanisms

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Specifically:

  • Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between Google Workspace and any external services, is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS (Transport Layer Security).
  • No data persistence: No data is stored on our servers.
  • Access Controls: Access to systems handling Google user data is restricted to authorised personnel only, strictly on a need-to-know basis.

Use of Google User Data

  • We only request access to Google Workspace data (such as Google Sheets™ contents) that is strictly necessary to run the plugin functionality requested by the user.
  • We do not transfer, sell, or share Google user data with third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.
  • We do not use Google Workspace data to train machine learning or artificial intelligence models.

Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance

Fast Data Science’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We currently collect and process the following information:

How we get the personal information and why we have it

The personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

User email address: we use this to keep track of user experience, user acquisition, retention, and attrition. We will not contact you or share your data with third parties.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting us on this form.

How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored. We keep customer contact details for 8 years. We will then dispose your information by removing it from our database.

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

  • Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
  • Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
